Samsung TV Plus has launched a month-long Halloween event called House of Hallows. It offers horror films, paranormal shows and spooky seasonal content, and viewers do not need a paid subscription.
What Is House of Hallows?
According to Samsung’s official newsroom, Samsung TV Plus is a global, subscription-free streaming service available on Samsung Smart TVs. House of Hallows is its October destination for scary viewing, built around classic horror, paranormal series and nightly scares.
Where the Content Will Appear
Samsung says the horror films and classic thrillers will be featured on Movie Hub, the Samsung Television Network (STN), and on demand throughout October.
Movies in the Lineup
Samsung’s announcement lists a mix of cult favourites and newer titles. These include The Sixth Sense, Resident Evil, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Suspiria, Urban Legend, You’re Next, Exhuma and Labyrinth.
Other titles named by the company are Mars Attacks!, Cobweb, Tourist Trap and In the Cut.
Newer and Lesser-Known Picks
The list also includes Urban Legends: Final Cut, R. L. Stine’s Zombie Town and the Korean title Salmokji: Whispering Water. Yahoo Entertainment reported that the event also brings free premieres of films such as Heretic and MaXXXine to the ad-supported service.
Paranormal Shows and Lighter Options
On the paranormal side, Samsung names Most Haunted, Paranormal Survivor, The Other Side and Boogeyman.
For viewers who want something lighter, Samsung is adding Halloween-themed episodes of America’s Funniest Home Videos on the AFV with Alfonso Ribeiro channel. The Halloween Vibes ambient channel will offer cosy, spooky-season visuals.
A Familiar Seasonal Tradition
This is not Samsung’s first Halloween push. In 2022, the company added a dedicated Halloween movies channel, according to trade outlet Broadcasting & Cable. In 2024, it ran a Halloween Horror Marathon in Mexico, as reported by Sammy Fans.
Why Seasonal Events Matter
Tech site Sammy Fans noted that spreading movies, paranormal shows and ambient content across October can turn seasonal programming into a month-long viewing habit.
How to Watch
Open the Samsung TV Plus app on a compatible Samsung Smart TV and look for House of Hallows in the live channels or on-demand section. No paid plan is required.
Availability
Sammy Fans reports that availability varies by channel and market, so the exact lineup may differ by region.
Bottom Line
House of Hallows gives horror fans a large free lineup for October, from older classics to newer releases. Samsung Smart TV owners can start exploring it right away.
