
Ahead of the Federal Reserve’s rate announcement on Monday, investors evaluated the US-EU trade agreement, which caused a mix in US market indices.
At 11:30 AM Eastern Time, the Nasdaq Composite was up 0.2%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down less than 0.1%, and the S&P 500 was essentially flat.
The Nasdaq Composite was up 0.4% and the S&P 500 was up 0.2% as of 10:15 AM Eastern Time. Less than 0.1 percent was gained by the Dow Jones Industrial Average.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 45.1 points, or 0.10%, to 44946.98 at the opening. The Nasdaq Composite increased 68.1 points, or 0.32%, to 21176.401, while the S&P 500 increased 9.0 points, or 0.14%, to 6397.69.
The yield on the 10-year Treasury increased little from 4.40% late Friday to 4.41% in the bond market. The yield on the 2-year Treasury increased from 3.91% to 3.93%.
