Born on March 7, 1973, in Guwahati, Assam, Arnab Ranjan Goswami pursued higher education at Hindu College, Delhi University, followed by a fellowship at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge.
Raised in a journalistic family—his father was an Indian Army officer and mother a writer—he developed an early interest in media and debate.

Career Highlights

Goswami began at The Telegraph in Kolkata in 1995, then joined NDTV in 1996, anchoring News Tonight and winning the 2004 Asian Television Award for Best News Anchor with Newsnight.
In 2006, he became editor-in-chief at Times Now, launching The Newshour—a nightly debate show famous for “The Nation Wants to Know”—and interviewing global leaders like Hillary Clinton.
