6 killed, 50 injured in Goa’s Shirgaon stampede, CM Pramod Sawant visits Goa Medical College

[India], May 3, Bicholim (Goa) (ANI): Pramod Sawant, the chief minister of Goa, paid a visit to the Goa Medical College (GMC), which is treating some of the injured from the Shirgaon stampede. Six people were killed and more than fifty injured in the event, which happened at the Shirgaon temple during the yearly Lairai Devi jatra.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called to ask about the situation and promised central support, according to Pramod Sawant.
