President Murmu and PM Modi lament the deaths of the Vaishno Devi landslide; rescue efforts are in progress.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his sorrow for the deaths caused by the Vaishno Devi landslide in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir.

PM Modi spoke to the event as “saddening” and wished for the quick recovery of those hurt in Tuesday’s devastating avalanche that rocked the nation near Vaishno Devi.

It is heartbreaking that a landslide on the way to the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Temple claimed lives. I’m thinking of the families that have lost a loved one. In a post on X, he wished for the afflicted to heal as quickly as possible.

According to Prime Minister Modi, the government is helping those who are impacted.

All people impacted are receiving assistance from the administration. I’m praying for everyone’s health and safety.

Additionally, President Droupadi Murmu conveyed his sorrow over the Vaishno Devi landslide tragedies.

It is really upsetting that a landslide on the pilgrimage route to the Mata Vaishno Devi Temple killed a number of worshipers. In a post on X, she wrote, “I pray for the success of the relief and rescue operations and offer my sincere condolences to the bereaved families.”
