The Odisha government is set to release financial assistance of more than ₹833 crore under the CM-KISAN scheme, with the funds to be transferred directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
The state-level programme will be held at the OUAT Krushi Shiksha Sadan in Bhubaneswar, where Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will formally launch the disbursement.
Over 41 Lakh Farming Families to Receive Assistance
The latest installment is expected to benefit more than 41 lakh farming families across Odisha. The beneficiaries include small and marginal farmers, Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG), and landless agricultural households.
The financial assistance is intended to provide timely support to farming communities, encourage investment in agricultural activities, and strengthen the economic stability of rural households.
Deputy Chief Minister and Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, along with other dignitaries, will also participate in the state-level programme.
Ministers to Oversee District-Level Events
The Odisha government has assigned ministers and senior representatives to lead district-level events as part of the statewide rollout. The arrangements are aimed at ensuring smooth implementation and effective delivery of the financial assistance.
